I agree that the 70’s would overwhelm them for, at least, a time. But, like all human beings, they’d adapt…or change the society—just like their unwise Hippie predecessors did.😑

FYI:

Sexton:

A sexton is an officer of a church, congregation, or synagogue charged with the maintenance of its buildings and/or the surrounding graveyard.

A sextant is the navigational tool.😊

Children today are considerably more self indulgent. Difficult to watch the human potential go to waste.

I agree with you 1000%. I am scared for my grandchildren who are growing up in this dystopia.

Just wait. I have grandchildren - 11 and 13. I have to remind myself how different their world is than mine was. (What makes me crazy is their total acceptance of masks.) 😱 The world of young people is surrounded by likes and texting. They sometimes need to be dragged into the 'real world' kicking and screaming. It's a good thing they've got me to drag them once in a while!

Living in NC my family made a trip to the beach or Outerbanks a couple times a year. When I got my driver's license in 1974, I knew how to get there. My neighbors just took their kids to Sea World and she sent me a video of her daughter age 10 sitting in a window there, with dolphins swimming past her, while she stared at her phone. She said Emma you have dolphins swimming right past you and you're looking at you phone. I told her at 16 I knew how to get to the beach, these kids will need GPS to find the grocery store.

Now, how far back could I live....not far! LOL I like electricity and climate control! But it also depends on if I had to depend solely on myself for survival. All that hard work! I grew up on a farm so I could do it and I have a small garden and chickens right now. I'm going to say, I could survive after 1776, but would loved to be able to time travel and get to listen to our founders. I've worked on my ancestry for about 10 years and it's amazing the strength they had....and how bad I'm watered down!
